The Promise Club

BCM International, Inc will expand The Promise Club. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Big Sky Bible Camp (BSBC), which is one of BCM’s camping ministries that provides respite care for families of children and adults with disabilities, launched Promise Club to address isolation experienced by families by gathering them in online and in-person cohorts for mutual support. BSBC also created curriculum that is based on Richard Foster’s work on spiritual disciplines to help families engage in faith practices in their homes. In addition, the organization worked with congregations to form Promise Clubs in their churches to provide faith-centered respite care for families in their communities. The grant will enable BSBC to expand its Promise Club ministry to churches throughout the Pacific Northwest region by providing training for congregations in respite care for families and making its resources more accessible through digital formats.
