The Accompanying Immigrant Christian Families Across Generations program seeks to help congregations serving immigrant communities in New England strengthen ministries that support parents and families. The program will start by forming listening circles for parents and clergy from 15 Latin American and Caribbean immigrant congregations and, drawing on insights from the circles, develop contextually relevant parenting resources for these families and congregations. The School of Theology also will create complementary artistic and academic formation programs for children from immigrant families to provide them access to art, extracurricular activities, and tutoring in and by local congregations. In years three and four, the program will work with new cohorts of parents and clergy from Asian American and African immigrant congregations.
