Conectere

The Conectere program is an interdisciplinary collaboration involving Eastern Mennonite University, Eastern Mennonite Seminary, and Yale Divinity School, The program will invite 150 to 200 parents and caregivers from African American, recent immigrant and Mennonite Christian backgrounds to form cohorts of 15 to 20 individuals each. The cohort groups will meet regularly during an 18-month period to explore and learn culturally appropriate practices for sharing faith and values with children. Drawing on insights from the cohorts, the program will develop digital and print resources. After the completion of the initial cohorts, the program will identify 15 former cohort participants and train them to serve as facilitators and resources for parenting cohort groups in other congregations.
