The Queens Congregational Cohort for Christian Parenting

The Queens Congregational Cohort for Christian Parenting program will convene two cohorts of congregations with members from diverse backgrounds to explore ways to empower and support parents and caregivers in sharing their faith with their children. An initial cohort of six congregations will work with coaches during an 18-month period to develop and test new approaches for ministries with parents and caregivers. Members of the initial cohort will serve as mentors for a second cohort of six congregations as they develop and strengthen plans to enhance their own ministries for parents. In the final year of the grant, the 12 congregations will work collaboratively with the Parish Resource Center Long Island West (PRC) to collect and share insights with other churches about best congregational practices for supporting parents.
