Through two complementary efforts, the SANKOFA program will walk alongside Black families with a conversation series between parents and parenting experts exploring issues facing families and will offer quarterly professional development workshops with 50 DC-metro pastors, youth volunteer leaders, and youth professionals in local youth serving organizations. In addition, Metropolitan AME will create a digital strategy to share resources that seek to incorporate Christian practices in everyday life.
