Family Faith Formation Initiative

The Family Faith Formation Initiative will educate pastors and congregational leaders to inspire, teach and empower Christian parents at faith formation with their children. Northwest will collect, curate, and expand access to high-quality resources for parents via a digital hub for faith formation. Faculty fellows, with the assistance of a cohort of ministry students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, will curate the resources. Northwest will form cohorts of pastors, congregational leaders, parents and caregivers, who will participate in a two-year process to test resources to strengthen and support family faith formation. Northwest will accomplish this initiative by creating a well-researched instrument for assessing faith formation of children to be used by parents and caregivers together with congregational leaders.
