Family Faith Formation Initiative

The Family Faith Formation Initiative will strengthen and support congregational ministries through parents and caregivers who focus on children ranging in age from birth to three years old. Rio Texas will listen to and learn from parents and caregivers of young children, and in response, the team will create experiences and resources to help more than 100 families prioritize faith formation in their homes. Sacred Roots: A Family Faith Network, will become this initiative’s toolbox and support system. Sacred Roots will provide parents and caregivers of young children with resources and experiences that will help families embrace different Christian practices, explore the Christian faith together, and celebrate milestones as they connect to and receive support from other families and ministry leaders. Rio Texas will share what is learned through this program in future training workshops for ministry professionals and volunteers to help them implement new strategies and best practices for ministries with families.
