The Our Ancestors Garden: Caregiver and Child Health

The Our Ancestors Garden: Caregiver and Child Health program is designed for families with children ages preschool to 5th grade. Root Wellness Center will gather up to 20 parents in five cohorts for a year to engage a curriculum designed to help parents unpack their own experience with faith in order to support their child’s faith formation with developmentally accessibly, trauma-informed, nature-based tools, and strategies. Each module will feature a biblical story, a complementing piece of Black literature, theological reflection, and a family faith activities and rituals to practice in the home.
