Holy Family of Nazareth: Renewing the Hispanic Domestic Church

Based at its McGrath Institute for Church Life (MICL), the Holy Family of Nazareth: Renewing the Hispanic Domestic Church program seeks to serve parents and caregivers in multigenerational immigrant communities and provide them with resources to share their faith with children amid the diverse spiritual needs and complex realities of family life. Launched as a pilot in ten parishes in the Archdiocese of San Antonio, the grant will enable MICL to expand the program to other Catholic dioceses. The program will provide a series of four bilingual workshops for local parishes to help them strengthen ministries for parents and families. In addition, it will train priests and parish leaders about how to support immigrant families in the faith formation of children in their homes and how to connect them with the parish.
