Presence-Centered Parenting: Exploring a Spirituality of Carrying Children and Sharing Faith

The Presence-Centered Parenting: Exploring a Spirituality of Carrying Children and Sharing Faith endeavor will help parents, grandparents, and an entire church community to explore how prayer, experiential Christian practices, liturgy, ritual, and spiritual direction might become central to their efforts to nurture the spiritual lives of their young children. Youthfront is mobilizing cohorts of caregivers (including parents of young children, grandparents, expectant parents, parents of teenagers, and pastors working with children, family or youth) to explore and develop spiritual practices for children and families that may be used in their homes. In addition, Youthfront will develop and test classical Christian formation curricula and experiences with up to 600 families who have young children in YF’s Day Camp program, enhance its digital app to help families connect their faith with their daily lives, and offer resources and professional development opportunities for children’s ministry and youth ministry leaders in congregations.
