The Catholic University of America (CUA) will implement a program to help Catholic parishes realize a vision of full intergenerational integration of children in communal worship. The School of Theology and Religious Studies (STRS) will work collaboratively with the university’s School of Music, Drama and Art, the Department of Education, the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate, as well as diocesan and parish liturgical and catechetical leaders. Project activities include the creation of children’s worship resources designed around the seasons and feasts of the Catholic liturgical year to be made available to parishes through a web platform. These resources will include pastor workshops, a collection of worship hymns for children, children’s worship resources specific to Hispanic liturgical culture and traditions, adaptive resources for families of children with disabilities, and a sacred art podcast for parents and children, among others.
