Emory University

Through the Sacred Arts Collective program, Emory University’s Candler School of Theology will form three cohorts of ten congregational teams each that will develop and test strategies for nurturing the faith of children ages five to twelve years old by integrating the arts more fully into congregational worship. Each team will include ordained and lay ministry leaders, a worship leader, up to four children and their caregivers. Participating congregations may apply for small grants to work with an artist-in-residence to refine their projects. Candler will create a website to share insights and ideas with other churches.
