Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis

Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis will enhance worship practices and inclusivity for children for 37 congregations in the diocese. The cohort participants will lead at least three events that include continuing education and intergenerational worship experiences for the diocese. Cohort one will seek to enhance worship traditions by modernizing choral traditions, expanding the roles of young acolytes and promoting inclusive and engaging worship experiences that reflect the diversity of our congregations. Cohort two will create a local art collaborative and provide summer programming to enrich worship experiences and build faith practices in congregations. Cohort three will develop tailored educational and support plans and create de-escalation and calming areas to address the diverse sensory needs of these children to help them participate more fully in worship and religious activities.
