Seton Catholic Schools will integrate three of the primary domains in which children engage in developing their prayer and worship habits and practices: Family, Parish School, and Parish Congregations. The grant will support a Family Engagement program across all schools to develop events and workshops that connect meals, help children focus on prayer as a means to connect with God, use faith to navigate difficult emotions, and provide virtual catechesis through a monthly podcast for families. Catholic parishes will be invited to create multigenerational retreats for families to explore worship. They will offer a digital pilgrimage to experience the art of the local parish and they will visit the schools regularly to help make connections to worship. A new fine arts program will engage children in religious plays, Catholic song, dance, and school choirs. In addition, the schools will connect with McGrath Institute for Church Life and Boston College Roche Center for Catholic Education for professional development and leadership training.
