South Carolina Conference, The United Methodist Church will partner with Narrative 4, Messy Church, USA, and the West Virginia United Methodist Conference (Portico), to provide support to implement intergenerational worship practices, promote empathy, and create a culture of belonging within congregations. The program will gather a team of 4-5 clergy and lay persons from 12 congregations. Cohorts will meet in person four times a year and online during the other months. Portico, a learning management system, will provide synchronous and asynchronous courses, videos, Bible studies, and webinars for our leadership cohort members. Narrative 4 will help congregations share their stories. Messy Church USA will provide a model of hospitality and creativity to intergenerational worship experiences.
