Western District Conferences of the Mennonite Church USA

Western District Conference (WDC) of Mennonite Church USA will help congregations and church plants reimagine and revitalize worship with children (0-12 years). WDC will network pastors and volunteer congregational faith formation leaders through two day-long worship workshops each spring and fall in English and Spanish, focused on meeting children's and parents' needs. Workshops will be conducted by collaborating partners such as Godly Play, Vibrant Faith and Menno Media. Participants in the workshops will be invited to meet regularly as an Innovation Group to share worship ideas and prompt experiments to engage children in worship, as well as support each other during this adaptive change. In addition, WDC will work with Anabaptist Disabilities Network to support children with special needs in worship.
