World Mission University, a church-related Korean language-based school, will work collaboratively with Korean immigrant congregations and parachurch organizations to develop strategies to nurture the religious lives of children through worship and music. Focusing on children from kindergarten through fifth grade, the university will form a cohort of 10 congregations each year that will work together to design and test practices for strengthening ministries with children. Learning alongside the congregations, World Mission will create resources, such as biblical dramas and praise songs for children, and establish an annual children’s praise festival. In addition, World Mission will build an online platform, PCCE (Pacific Center for Culture and Education), to share resources more broadly, such as family worship guidebooks and online lectures for parents and church leaders. This new nonprofit organization for research and scholarship will continue to support Korean immigrant churches as they engage in ministries to connect children with worship and prayer.
